Alternative (Plug & Play) Mainboard "ZBoard" for the Robo R2

STOP! You may not need a new mainboard: If your printer still works but is stopping mid-print with the error "Error Detected Connection Interrupted", you may have a failing (but salvageable) mainboard. Read this write-up - a customer of ours came up with this solution and it has saved several of their R2 mainboards. The heatsinks mentioned in the write up are available here.

ZBoard Installation Instructions

The ZBoard is an alternative mainboard for the Robo R2 (made by Jonah, in-house, and not made by Robo 3D). It is comprised of an Arduino, RAMPs with A4988 stepper drivers and two buck converters mounted on top of a custom PCB board. The board is plug and play, but please read the Installation Instructions carefully before ordering so you are familiar with the steps involved.

Because this board uses a RAMPs board, it is possible to replace individual stepper drivers if one goes bad and to upgrade to silent stepper drivers if you choose.

You are also able to bypass the power inlet and tie into your own power supply if needed.

The boards are hand built and tested by Jonah in his R2 before shipping.
