Diameter: 1.75mm
Weight: 500g
Color: Black
3D print high-performance and durable structural end-use parts with Addigy F1030-CF10.
With a carbon fiber loading of just 10%, Addigy® F1030-CF10 prints parts with properties close to what is usually achievable only by injection molding.
Addigy® F1030-CF10 is a new carbon fiber filled polyamide 6/66 that prints durable structural parts with high dimensional stability, warp-free.
The PA6/66 copolymer filament incorporates actual carbon fibers, rather than the commonly used powder-like carbon, which results in stronger, stiffer and tougher parts with higher tensile strength and modulus. With its excellent mechanical properties and smooth appearance, it is well-suited for 3D-printing demanding automotive structural applications that require robust performance at elevated temperatures.
Designed for 3D printing, it is ideal for producing functional parts and functional prototypes using fused filament fabrication (FFF) technology. The material can be printed on standard desktop FFF machines with a hardened nozzle. Tests have shown that users can run their printers at the same speeds as with unreinforced plastics, while achieving considerably better strength and toughness.
Possible applications
- Automotive, under-the-hood applications
- Protective and supporting sports gear
- High performance functional parts
- Manufacturing jigs and fixtures
- Medical braces and prosthetics
- Light weight applications
- Applications requiring durable and stiff parts with good mechanical properties
General Print Settings
These settings are recommended by Formfutura and are meant as a starting point to help find your optimal print settings.
Please Note: Enclosed Printer Needed
Nozzle Size: ≥ 0.5mm
Layer Height: ≥ 0.1mm *First layer : 100 - 150% of first layer thickness.
Flow Rate: ± 100%
Print Temp: ± 260 - 285°C
*Can be used with a range of nozzle temperature (220–245 °C / 428–473°F). Preferred temperature to print your object is 230°C / 446°F. To generate a homogeneous melt, the melt temperature should always be above 225°C / 437°F. Optimal mechanical properties will be achieved at melt temperature between (225-245 °C / 437°F–473°F).
Print Speed: Medium / High
*Print speed: 50 - 100 mm/s (obeying the maximal throughput in cm3/s of the extruder). Print speed for "normal" nozzle size (0.4mm) and layer height (0.2mm), for other values print speed should be adjusted accordingly!
Retraction: Depends on printer type and filament diameter.
Bed Temp: ± 60 - 120°C *Only remove printed object from print bed when print bed has cooled down to ambient temperatures, as otherwise printed part can deform severely.
Fan Speed: 0%
Surface: PEI Sheet + Magigoo PA
Heated Build Chamber: Yes
Storage and Conditioning Process:
In order to prevent moisture pick up and contamination, packaging should be kept closed and undamaged. For the same reason, partially used bags should be sealed before restorage.
Allow the material that has been stored elsewhere to adapt to the temperature in the processing room while keeping the bag closed. To prevent moisture condensing on filaments, bring cold filaments up to ambient temperature in the print shop while keeping the packaging closed.
In case the filament becomes wet, it should be dried. Drying at 80°C for at least 4hr is recommended.
When storing the filament after printing, it is advised to seal the bag and add silica gel to the bag to keep the filament as dry as possible.
