StoneFil Concrete - 1.75mm 500g | Formfutura

Concrete StoneFil by Formfutura - PLA composite stone filament composed of 50% powdered stone

• Matte, stone-like finish
• Each individual print will have a unique, natural stone coloring
• 50% stone filing results in filament that is ±37% heavier than average PLA filament

1.75mm filament in 500g spools. 

Please note: Because StoneFil is composed of 50% stone powder, it can have a slightly more abrasive effect on brass nozzles. We recommend using a stainless steel nozzle or a hardened steel nozzle.

Also, when printing with any filled/composite filament, we recommended cleaning your nozzle immediately after printing using Dyna-Purge.

Formfutura StoneFil Filament Print Settings

These settings are recommended by Formfutura and are meant as a starting point to help find your optimal print settings. They should work for most 3D printers; however, you may need to experiment outside these ranges. If you find settings that work better with your printer, feel free to let us know and we will be happy to post them.

Experience Level: Intermediate

Nozzle Size: ≥ 0.4mm

Layer Height: Stonefil really adheres to the bed and can be difficult to remove. Increase 1st layer height and/or use blue painter's tape to avoid this.

Print Temp: ±200 - 240° C

Bed Temp: ±0 - 60° C

Print Speed: High / Medium

Fan Speed: 50-100%

Flow Rate: ±110%

Retraction: Yes - 5mm

Print Surface: GeckoTek, BuildTak, Kapton Tape.
