Double-sided Satin PEI Powder-coated Spring Steel Sheet for the Original Prusa i3 Series
Includes: Satin spring steel sheet (1 pcs)
Prusa's satin sheet sits between the smooth and textured variants. Its powder-coated surface with lightly textured matte finish offers an optimal level of adhesion, especially when printing PLA and PETG materials. It is fully compatible with a wide range of common and less-common filaments, such as ABS, ASA, FlexFill 98A, Polycarbonate and more. A vast majority of materials can be printed without a separation layer (e.g. glue).
Polycarbonate filament prints better on satin compared to smooth and textured sheets. When printing with PC often, a glue stick layer is recommended to prevent possible damage to the sheet.
Suitable for both PLA and PETG
Lightly textured surface finish
No need for Windex for PETG
No need for glue stick with FlexFill 98A
Wide range of supported filaments, including advanced materials such as PC Blend
Easy maintenance and good adhesion qualities
1. Acetone causes the surface to quickly deteriorate
2. ASA and PC Blend filaments require a brim / skirt / shield around the print
3. Live Z value needs to be readjusted if you switch sheets
4. DO NOT use sharp metal objects (e.g. a spatula) to remove the print!
WARNING Never clean the satin powder-coated spring steel sheet with acetone! Doing so will create microfractures in the texture, which will make the surface deteriorate over time. Learn more about printing on the Satin powder-coated steel sheet in the Prusa knowledge base.
Prusa warranty notes: Consumable parts, such as PEI sheets (smooth, textured, etc.) are not covered by warranty as the coatings are designed to diminish over time unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship. Cosmetic damage, including but not limited to scratches, dents, cracks or other cosmetic damage is also not covered by the warranty. Only defective sheets on arrival are covered by warranty.
